I’m Alessandra, the artist behind “AMS Creates.” I am a graphically-trained multi-media artist who makes pieces both utilitarian and otherwise to delight, comfort, or intrigue! “AMS Creates” is home to a diverse range of products born of the art that comes out of my studios including ceramics, fine art, art prints, stickers, and more. “AMS Creates” will always be the place you can look about while you ask yourself what your whimsy wants!

What exactly is available for sale at “AMS Creates?”

Art prints of original illustrations, fine art archival prints of original large-scale paintings, and handmade ceramics useful and decorative. There is much, much more to come!

You mention ceramics. There’s a lot of them! Why make ceramics on top of other mediums?

Ceramics are the perfect medium for more people to experience choosing and owning a handmade, artisan good. They could be mugs, bowls, figurines, little shelves, jewelry… you name it! Something ceramic can be used every day or tucked away safe, making it a perfect introduction for folks who’ve never considered having art for themselves before.

Alright, so going back to the other stuff, why more than ceramics when you just said they’re the perfect introduction to owning art?

Different ideas call for different mediums! I use the method of creation that best suits the concept and work to make an array of pieces to suit different tastes.

What’re the inspirations and influences?

I glean inspiration from a number of things– the Arts and Crafts movement, folk art, flora, fauna, and the world around myself. There’s never a shortage of subjects to appreciate and share!
